Los Angeles International Airport is the second-largest airport in the U.S. after Atlanta. It is also the fourth largest in the world. It has the airport code of LAX. Every year millions of passengers use the airport to fly different international and domestic flights. LAX parking is available directly at all terminals in the so called "Central Terminal Area" (CTA). The parking garages have the same numbers like the terminal they are facing. There are eight garages: P1, P2A, P2B, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7. There are nine terminals numbered from 1 to 8 and Tom Bradley International Terminal, also reffered as Terminal B. P3 and P4 are also located in front of Terminal B and are the closest LAX parking option for this terminal.
    LAX Parking Rates
All parking garages and options in the Central Terminal Area have a 15 minute grace period, where parking is free. After that parking is $7 for the first 60 minutes and $6 for each additional 30 minutes. The 24-hour maximum at Central Terminal Parking is $50 and $30 for a day at LAX Economy Parking lot. These are drive-up rates, which can be lower with prebooking. There are cheaper daily rates for LAX parking at Parkobility's partner. Depending on the season a daily rate between $8 to $13 incl. shuttle is possible and even lower rates for $4.95 without shuttle.
    LAX Long Term Parking
Parking for longer stays is possible with drive-up rates of $50 per day at all Central Terminal Parking garages. Premium Parking at P1 is $60 and the Valet Terminal Parking option is available for $70 a day. These LAX long term parking options are the most convenient, because they are located in front of all terminals. If planned ahead, they get cheaper with the pre-book option. Daily rates are available from $32-35. Lower daily rates are possible at the LAX Economy Parking lot for $30 as the drive-up rate. Pre-booking starts from $14 per day. A shuttle is included. It runs every 7 to 10 minutes and needs 15 minutes to get to terminals. Parkobility partner hotels are located also not far from the airport in a similar distance to the airport like the Economy Parking lot. Without shuttle daily rates from $4.95 are possible and with included free shuttle service daily rates are usually between $8 to $13. The cheapest parking option is called Van Nuys FlyAway Parking, which is an fully automated off-airport parking option without staff. The daily max. is $5, but the shuttle bus have to paid extra and take more than an hour (without traffic) to get to the airport.

    LAX Short Term Parking
For short term stays the go to option are P1-P7 which are called Central Terminal Parking. Each terminal has its garage, only terminal 8 shares P7 with terminal 7. For Terminal B there are P3 and P4, which are closest. In all Terminal Parking the first 15 minutes are free. From 15-60 minutes the rate is $7. Each additional half hour will be charged with $6 up to a daily maximum of $50. Premium Parking is currently only available at P1, but will extended to other garages. The first hour is $9 and $7 for each 30 minutes after that. Allthough there are short term rates at the Economy lot, it is most likely not worth it, because the rates are just a dollar less compared to Terminal Parking and a shuttle has to be taken, which needs another 15 minutes each way. Free parking is also possible at the LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot (Northwest corner of 96th Street/Vicksburg Avenue). Motorists can stay there up to 2 hours, but are not allowed to leave their vehicle unattended.
